Playing Net Flix off my laptop on the boob tube.

My flat screen has an unused S Video input jack, but my laptop doesn't have S video at all. It does have a 1394, VGA, HDMI, Ethernet and USB.

What's gives the quality from the laptop to convert to S video input from?

I'd just punt around this and buy a new $80 DVD player that streams netflix (and pandora, et al) directly to your TV.

Or get a Roku ($60) or Apple TV ($100).

			S video is analog.

You'd be down converting so quality of the original output is not an issue. There are many better options that are cheaper as mentioned above. |

Thanks, sounds like ROKU is the ticket.
