Official NFL Playoffs thread

I'm surprised nobody has started an NFL playoff thread yet. Last weekend there was some great football. Looks to be an even better one this weekend with some great grudge matches.

Post your predictions here.

Mine:

Packers over Falcons

Seahawks over Bears

Pats over Jets

Steelers over Ravens

I'd like to see OT in the New York/New England game. Then after the Patriots march down and kick a field goal watch the Jets break one for the touchdown. Roger can lament watching his buddies Bill and Tom suffering at the hands of his new OT rule. Later the winner of the Pittsburgh/Baltimore game can tear apart the Jets and play Green Bay in the Super Bowl.

I would like to see the Packers go all the way. I was also really bummed that the Colts choked.

+1! (Up until the next week part about the Jets losing, which has been removed from the quote. )

This season, the Jets have proven again and again that in pressure situations, they can pull through. Last week, when the Colts kicked that field goal late in the 4th, my buddy who was watching the game with me said, "That's it, The Jet's are gonna lose." I said, "Just wait -- this is where their playing is most effective. " And they pulled it out, just like they did at least a half dozen times this season.

The only problem I see in the Jets/Pats game for the Jets is 4th down situations. Fouth and inches won't be a problem, but Fourth down and a couple of feet may cause Rex Ryan to get a little fiesty...

-Z-man.

Go Jets!!

RAVENS will stomp to the Championship

The bad news Bears get no respect --the Hawks will be meat and in the NFC against all odds the BEARS GO to the Super Bowl- the Falcons and Packtards only decide who the BEARS beat.

AND GET SLAUGHTERED do the Bears

As a kid growing up I loved my Pirates and Steelers. I didn't know any better, and just thought everyone rooted for their hometown team and they won championships. For the Pirates it has come and gone (really, really gone, but I still love them), but the Steelers have spoiled their fans. One more win and they go to their 15th AFC Championship Game. I can understand why anyone who isn't a fan would hate them, but jealousey is such an ugly thing.

Got that right - the Pats have way much better class -- they would NEVER, or video tape other team's practices, nor would they taunt the opposing team once a TD is scored....

Not the New England Patriots.... nee-hee-vaar!

Geez, no one understands any facts about the signal taping. Why wouldn't they tape, every team in the league did. They got caught after the memo with a camera in the wrong place. A few feet further back and it would have been legal.
Even the Jets writer that broke the story regrets the whole thing and thinks it's overblown. I understand that homers for competing teams don't care about facts (you always boo penalties against your team and cheer penalties against the opposing team regardless of reality, right?) but it seems real football fans have moved on. Heck, their record is better after all that then before.

I would have a better case stating that the Jets have been coached to cheat all year as we found with Trip-gate.

Some spygate facts if anyone is interested:
SpyGate: The Most 'Overblown' Story of the Decade

Anyway, my predictions:

Pats
Steelers
Falcons
Bears

Best games to watch: Steelers/Ravens and Packers/Falcons
