Catheder Ablation tomorrow

Wish me luck, a fib heartbeat sucks.
Pretty simple, stick a wire through my groin into my heart and fry some heart tissue.
Hope it works

good luck. My dad has had this a couple of times with good results. I am 42 and have the same heartbeat issue and will be going down this road in a few years. How old are you?

Best wishes. I had this done two years ago and wasn't too bad. I was semi-awake during the procedure. There was some minor pain while they actually do the procedure under the fluoroscope. Be prepared to be shaved from your chin to your knees. The recovery for the incisions on your groin will require a lot of attention from the doctors/nurses. A little stiff walking soon after because of the incisions but thats about all there is too it. My heart rate was 162 while resting beforehand. I was 43 when i had it done.

Best of luck to you. My doc says I may have to have the same procedure. I have SVT (sinus ventricular tachycardia) occassionally. Its happened to me three times in my life. It scares the crap out of you when its happening. From what my doc tells me, it won't kill me. They need to pinpoint the area in the heart where it starts to do the ablation procedure first though. My heart always acts perfectly normal for them. Go figure.
