Our New 62 Jet - 18 horsepower Hot tub

We Closed a deal on our new hot tub today................buying a new one to replace the crappy spa that came with the house we bought 11 years ago.

Man o Man have hot tubs come a long ways in recent years.........

going into the spa hunt, I was at a mental $6-7K price point. And yeah, that buys you a wimpy small spa with 10-12 jets and a 1-2 horsepower pump

did I go that route? yeah right. NAH!!!!!!!!

We bought 62 jets, triple main pumps and a smaller 24/7 circulation pump, would you believe 18 horsepower total!!!!!! Two 6 hp pumps for 59 jets and a 5 hp dedicated to twin foot blasters, then a 1 horse circ pump for filtering.

I can pump 9000 gallons an hour, that's 150 gallons a minute, or over 2 gallons a second at pressure.

This spa should be able to strip flesh off of bone.

We wet tested 6-7 different spa shapes/models on the dealer show room floor to get the one that fits perfect.

click on the 61 jet with "dual foot blaster" option below: This is one *****in' awesome hydro-therapy spa. LOVE THE TWIN FOOT BLASTERS!!!

Artesian Spas - Grand Bahama Luxury Hydrotherapy Hot Tub

Made in Vegas.

The factory spec unit comes with a dedicated 3 hp pump solely feeding the dual foot blasters, I had them bump it up to a 5 horse pump for another $100.

$200 upgraded 10 multi-color LED lighting, and a +$200 heavy duty cover that is 6" thick center tapering to 3" edge. Should handle snow load much better than the standard 4"/2" taper.

Custom Ordered it and will ship/install early/mid March.

I love ours....but then I paid $300 at a repo auction. It's a quality brand "Hot Springs" and has given almost zero trouble in the last 5 years (a new heater at $170).

We almost never turn on the jets, I prefer absolute silence while in the tub....either that or an NFL game on the portable TV. That being said, this "footblaster" option has me intrigued...

Same here..... We gave our huge multi-jetted 5-6 person spa to a friend several years and bought a small simple oval shaped two person spa. We now can park two cars in the garage again and water changes are much simpler/quicker.

I have had more fun (read Charlie Sheen without the illegal stuff) in my hot tub than anywhere else... and like Dave above its time for a new one as well. Just not ready to spend $5k (or more) for one right now...

Sure looks like a lot of fun though!

18 HP is about 60 amps at 220 volts. Fock! Your neighbor's lights will dim when this tub is on full tilt.

How much does something like that add to your electric bill?

Yes it needs a dedicated 220 VAC 60 amp circuit. Having Two 200 amp power panels in the house is nice sometimes..........

Only should cost about $1 a day to heat.

Screw the zero jet silent hot soak bath.......(that's what I have now that my present spa pump main shaft bearings are shot and growl)......I want hydro-therapy and deep tissue massage. If I wanted to just soak in warm water, might as well just piss your pants.

Always better to have the jets and not use them, than wish you had them and can only sit in a warm mud puddle.

If you can, add the salt water chlorine generator. I added one to our old tub and it was really nice. Soft water, no chlorine, crystal clean water. Have fun!!

Looks like fun, my folks had one for a while, really nice if you have the time to stay on top of them and use them.
