Ok, I'll do it... But only b/c I'd like to have a few rounds with the russian.... ;)
|
You just signed a summons.
Good luck. |
Is it ticking like a clock?
|
It sounds like they didn't actually deliver it to the wrong address if it was addressed to your physical address. Whoever ordered it had it sent to the wrong address.

Signatures for the shippers is a farce.
Even when required the driver can self sign and leave it. Ordered a computer for my sister, shipped ground. My wife was home all day on the expected delivery day. Kept asking her if it came yet. Get home and it's sitting on the front stoop Driver didn't even ring the bell. Called to complain, am told UPS does not require a signature for ground have a nice day. |
I'll bet they're some of those build-your-own Converse shoes.
Like these Clown Shoes... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1297781915.jpg |
UPS left a not cheap radar detector package on my doorstep last week and didn't knock on the door. I have a handgun coming back from SIG soon and I'm pretty sure they'll be knocking on the door and requiring my signature, if not an ID check.

Wouldnt happen to have been sent from Linn Co. Oregon, was it??
|
Nope, I would have called the bomb squad if that was the case.... No it came from Converse, I called the UPS number I found on their website, and nothing.... There is a number for converse on the package, I suppose I will call them....

You can do nothing at all, and in a few days at most the person that ordered it will be looking for it. They will contact UPS for a tracking number and then they will do a forehead slap and realize they had it shipped to the wrong address. Most likely they live in the area and will come pick it up. You can probably Google the name on the box and find some sort of contact information to the owner.

Glen its a college town, every reference I find to the name is about 3hrs away up in Perry...
|
That is probably his home town where is parents live.
I bet he will find you. |
I believe the law states that if a package is delivered to you incorrectly, it is not your fault, and you are not required to do anything about it. Whether that is the morally correct thing to do or not is up to you.

I really don't have time to jack with it more today, I will try more tomorrow.....
