Acronym/contraction:
LAN Drover = Large Area Network Land Rover = war machines packed w/computers is my take. Stuff I know precious little about.

I just moved a d over a notch.

All them other words after that have anything to do with my guess?

Bill Douglas 04-26-2012 01:42 AM

We pronounce them Lan Drover over here too.

One that gave me the giggles was a Range Rover that the Moari guy owner had altered the E to become an I to say RANGI ROVER. A funny joke as a Rangi is a slang word for a Moari.

So do you have Moaris and Maoris in New Zealand?

I have 3 Cisco 2501 routers and a couple switches in my basement 'evil laboratory'. Haven't turned them on in years, but I seem to recall I had them setup in a T1 configuration. A T1 2 feet long.

We still have LAN parties now and then. We either race or kill each other. Sometimes both at once.
