Eaton compressors - thoughts?
Anyone have any experience with Eaton compressors? Really thinking about getting one . . .
3 - 10 HP Air Compressors: |
Never used an Eaton. I bought a used 2 stage Ciason 9 years ago and its still going strong.
If you are near Santa Ana checkout Caisons Air Compressors. Ciasons Industrial, Inc. 1615 Boyd Street Santa Ana, CA 92705 (800) 279-0838 |
I called the company by chance on a saturday. The president answered. Talked at least 30 minutes. That was a couple of years ago. The guy sold me. I think the compressors are about as good as you can get. If you compare the cfm numbers they come out ahead. You can get a compressor at Tractor Supply and hope it last a few years. If I remember right, the Eaton can be rebuilt if needed. Good luck.

Eaton Compressor
I have a 5HP single phase compressor from them, with a 80 gallon tank. When I installed it, I added a simple hour meter.
A few months back I turned 2000hrs of use (this is running time) with nothing more than a few oil changes and a new pair of filters. I cannot be happier. It runs like it should, is built with good components (the pump is Chinese, but is nice quality) and the owner is a great guy to talk to. Consider this a definitive yes. Vin |

Thanks for the info. I really like the Eaton products but I want 100% made in the USA. As usual, I will probably have to compromise my values and go with the Eaton.

For bang for the buck in 80 gallon 2 stage 175 PSI compressors, I went this route for almost 13 cfm @ 90 PSI. Right around $1100 new, got mine like new but used for $750.
Husky 5 Hp, 80 Gal. 2 Stage Air Compressor - HS5181 at The Home Depot |
If I remember right the Eaton 2 stage has a cfm of 17 at 175 with 5hp. Around 1500.00.
