i intentionally type like this in an informal setting. for a paper, report, or email that means a darn, i'll gladly do it properly.

My sisters and I (there are five of us) had a (way too long) argument over whether the gate on Mr. Smith's summer property had the proper grammar. Mr. Adams has a wife and kids. The gate said "Adam's". Hard to imagine it took more than a day to achieve consensus. The last holdout was the one fluent in three languages who's read an unbelievable volume of books. Sheesh.
