That is a mighty short wheelbase and a pretty steep head angle, sexy.

Can't say I like the exhaust or the Ducati-esque double stack headlight arrangement. But its pretty difficult to find any new ground in terms of superbike styling. I love how thin and clean the tail looks.

The Buell name does have racing cred, so if he keeps it small, and builds on that....who knows?

Can I get it with a dry clutch?

Cant wait to see his production bikes; if it ever happens. The bike posted is way cool and probably a little faster than my Buell.

Thanks. Nah I ended up keeping the old girl. This bike is very solid and the Duc I was considering had to many unknowns.

If you get the urge to sell, PM me. It would go to a good home.

Dang! That thing looks like it'll turn in or stop just as fast as it'll leave the line!

Liquid cooled!

That means that it is probably based upon the V2 engine that Porsche designed for Harley-Davidson for their V-rod motorcycles.

Negative it is a upgraded Austrian ROTAX that Buell also used the last few years.
It is very, very similar to the 990 rotax that Aprilia used for years in their big twins.

I should see Erik and the bike in person tomorrow

Will do HardDrive. If the price gets right on Erik's new street bikes this one will have to go...

Funny thing about Buell... there's a Buell racebike that has been run in the AMA superbike series the last couple of years, most notably ridden by Geoff May. Funny thing though, it isn't really legal. It's sort of an evolution of a streetbike that didn't really get built in enough volume to qualify as a production bike. Nobody complains much anymore, as it doesn't really have a chance of winning a superbike race, although it has run in the top three or four for a few laps at a race or two.

Now he builds this new bike and, again, no street versions have been built. He has stated his intent to build a hundred of them and he's at the dealer show in Indiana this weekend, tying to drum up some support and, presumably, some cash.

This bike seems to be a cut above what he has built in the past. Losing the Harley motor was a step forward and deciding to use top-shelf components was another. It remains to be seen if there is a market for this bike, as it will not be cheap.
