Saw that place on the food channel the other day, didn't look appealing at all.

Of course if I were a yuppie intent on impressing other yuppies I'd be all over that place

Now Tommy's on Beverly and Rampart, that's a burger!

Islands makes a pretty good burger (Oh horror... I just admitted to eating at a chain restaurant!! For shame!)

San Pedro Brewery does a nice job.

As you can see I LIKE burgers... however I think the term "gourmet Burger" is an oxymoron.

Come on Sammy - don't be such a spoilsport! Just looked like it might be a different take on the burger, and I've been forced to eat some kr@p burgers lately.

Go to Yelp and check. Doesn't read any better than any other burger place.

Personally I can't understand why you'd want to eat that crap (burgers) on a regular basis. Ground meat is made from the scrap cuts with a lot of fat. It amazes me how crazy people are about them.

If I can get excited about scrap meat it is in a good bratwurst. At least that has some spices added.

I drive by it every week going to rehearsal. Never been. For a burger I'll go to Apple Pan on Pico. Old school...

Yes, Umami is amazing! Start off with the Umami Burger then the next time you go back branch out their other burgers. Every location has their own "specialty" burgers, for example the Korean BBQ burger and the Ahi Burger are exclusive to the location in Hollywood (by the Arclight). My personal favorites are the Ahi Burger (sushi on a bun!) and the Spicy Bird (spicy turkey burger)

Give it a shot. . .You'll like it! Heck, PM me and I'll join you

On a regular basis, they are just hole fill. But sometimes the urge strikes to go to one of the Holy Grail's of Hamburgers. The Cherry Cricket in Denver is one - certainly the best I have ever had. While I was having a smoke outside - I have multiple vices thank you - I conversed with a lady who was an ex-employee. The Cricket secret? 70/30 hamburger. That is why they taste amazing. That is why they are run-down-your-chin good. Get it medium rare & get a side of the jalapeños.

Healthy & hamburgers do not belong in the same sentence. Not if they're good.

Had one once, it was ok. Like the burger at "Father's Office" more.
