WRC no longer on TV ?
 

It seems HD theater is not covering the 2011 season. Are we SOL for WRC coverage in the US again ?

It was on late on HD Theatre, but at least it was on. How is WRC not more entertaining than 10 hours of daily NASCAR coverage?

i was not a fan of the show foremat and tired of it. the racing footage was great, but too much face time on all counts. plus, not a fan of s. loeb..... stupid frenchie....

I consider WRC drivers more talented than drivers in any other form of motorsport, I am a little bored with the fact Loeb has won it 7 times in a row, but you gotta admit the guy's talented ! And he's not doing it Schumacher style...

If we had coverage this season, you would have enjoyed Sweden, he did not win ;-)
But apparently, we don't have it anymore. :mad:

It's supposed to be back in the 2nd quarter (April???). I have to agree that last year's coverage was marginal (but still better than watching anything else on TV :D ). The only way to follow WRC is live via World Rally Radio. And the new live PowerStages are televised on ESPN UK. The Swedish round was available live on one of the bootleg internet TV sites.

The last round I watched was Citroen vs Ford. It's kind of boring when there are only two manufacturers competing.

I follow YouTube coverage of WRC via the WRC channel or one of the rally junkies that posts long-ish videos of same.....not too bad....but I hafta agree, even for guys that *like* NASCAR....jees..... 23 hrs straight, then-->

- - > we have stadium monster trucks, or "pinks" or other banal automotive nonsense. Jeepers, maybe *some* WRC and also how about 1x/yr Dakar Rally coverage. I mean really, cable TV came into being to allow "niche" programs to exist. It seems only if you follow the "mass media" portion of your "niche"..... :(

Mexico Day 1 bootleg coverage on a Greek website. Why wait for the same program on HDT? Watch it before they get the cease & desist order :cool:

HD Theater - 3.5 hours of coverage every Sunday, if only it were live :( :rolleyes: And it looks like VW will make their WRC entry official at Portugal, bringing the manufacturer total to 4.
