 Disruption in Pelican Parts Orders

I was just wondering, with PP moving to a new location what will be the time duration of disruption for parts orders?
Maybe Wayne can give us a heads-up on this. SmileWavy |

Of all the things in the world you should worry about, this is not one of them.

Its Wayne. There will be no disruption.

 Rusnak,
LOL, not worried about it, just asking. If you were going to order a part and it happened to be during the move, wouldn't you want to know ahead of time that your part is going to be delayed and for how long? I know a lot of folks here work on their P-cars as time permits because their (P-cars) are not daily drivers, but for some of us, a P-car down is an issue because it IS a daily driver. |

By now you should realize that the majority of parts are shipped from another warehouse. If they are sourced from Porsche itself, they are delivered to El Segundo for packaging. That portion of the Pelican warehouse, along with overseas shipping, is complex with computers, scales and all, but not something that couldn't be moved in a weekend.
The inventory that resides within the 4 walls of Pelican is so well organized that the shelves could be moved in sequence and installed in the new location in another weekend or at night after hours over the course of a few days. They know where everything is and will know where everything is throughout the move. Trust me. Now, Wayne's personal stuff like his engines, cars and parts might be another matter. ;) :D But I saw him move his household and he did it mostly by himself. You don't have a thing to worry about. |
