Is there a car with good towing capacity?

			Hi,

I'm looking at my options to replace my daily driver... The story is that I really don't want a SUV or a pickup truck cause neither fit under the 4 post lift in the garage so it needs to be a car (ceiling height is limited with the 911 on top). I need to tow the ATV plus a bunch of junk... So do you know of any car that has excellent or good towing capacity? Thanks!

1996 Buick Roadmaster Wagon 5000 lb towing capacity I think the Lincoln Towncars have a 5000 lb towing capacity with the tow package. You need a large traditional rear wheel drive body on frame car. Speedy

Subaru outback has decent towing capacity (for what you're trying to do anyhow).

They'll do abou 2700# in the 4cyl CVT setup, and more with the 6 cyl. These are more of a true "wagon" and have significant cargo space in the back. Many current SUV or mini-SUV platforms are disappointing when looking at cargo area behind the seats. Please, no comments about softball playing women wearing mullets... The car does have some utilitarian value.

Planning to use my Volvo Wagon to tow my bikes to the track. It's rated at 3500 lbs. but I know of a guy who tows a car on a trailer with one. I personally wouldn't do that, but an ATV or small boat shouldn't be a problem at all.

Depending on what you get, you'd also get AWD for the winter and a package that has pretty good performance.

Diesel. Look for a used newer Mercedes. They're out there and fairly inexpensive. Though you'll have better luck with a crossover than a car, FWIK.
