Free email to fax?

I am traveling and need to send a fax, is there a free way to send it as an email from my computer. Just curious, not the end of the world if it doesn't go out.

FedEx used to offer Zapmail, which seems so odd. Fax machines becoming so readily affordable rendered that business obsolete very quickly.

You can sign up for efax or myfax for free for one month. It uses PDF as the document source, so you should be able to create and send the doc straight from your computer. If you no longer need the service after one month, just cancel within the first month.

I've used Pamfax which runs over Skype. It's not free (at least for international faxing which is what I was doing) but dirt cheap.

It's amazing that fax technology hasn't completely died-off yet.
