Meet Charlie
The last couple of weeks has involved a lot of changes in my life. Most of them for the better. But, one thing stands out above all of the rest.
On March 31st, my grandson was born. His name is Charles but everyone calls him Charlie. This is the first grandchild for my wife and I. For those of you that have met me, you can see that he and I have the same hairline.

Congratulations on No 1 grandchild. We just went through the same experience last November, it is a great time in our lives. Maybe Charlie can meet Maddie some day.

Thanks for the kind wishes from everyone.
My daughter, Karen, is Charlie's mom. They, and my son-in-law are all doing well. You are right that the kid owns me. When my kids were born, I remember thinking "I hope I raise them properly". When Charlie was born, my thought was, "I'm going to spoil that kid." |

Outstanding! Gotta love a grandpa with a plan.
Remember, "I didn't think you'd mind", "Don't be upset, we had fun", "Grandma said OK" (careful with this one), "we only did it once"......... Play stupid...beg forgiveness, not permission. Sometimes it even works for me. Heck the granddaughters are the ONLY beings that can crawl all over the interior of the Targa, stand in the seats and wave (in the garage) with zero consequences.....but it doesn't happen every day....:>) Enjoy! Grandchildren are God's way of rewarding us for surviving raising our own young. With grandchildren, you get all the happy-happy joy-joy without the bad stuff. Grandchildren are all about having fun - so teach him to drive way too early, take him to a Hooters joint for wings, first car race, first baseball game, all those great things. Have a BLAST! angela

My little guy is over at Nana and Poppa's house right now.
