We just remodeled our kitchen. Went with a combination of reusing/refacing some existing cabinets. We also had some custom cabinet work done where existing configurations were sub-optimal.

All cabinets new & old were painted in shades of grey.

The results:

Hi there,

I am painting my kitchen and love the shades of gray. Do you have the names of the colors? I see you bought the paint from Lowes... Thank you so much :)

Close to Thermador and a little less expensive is Bosch, I believe they do own Thermador, the induction cooktops are similar. Bosch makes a nice wall oven that has the door swing open from the side, we just picked up that and a induction cooktop but not installed yet so no idea if we like it or not. Miele also make some excellent appliances but up there with Thermador in cost.

Really liked the look of that vertical grain fir cab's, getting ready to put the kitchen together so these ideas are great.

I am not in agreement with IKEA quality. Their kitchen cabinet line is pretty good and very well priced. We gutted our current home on the day we took ownership. I replaced all with IKEA kitchen cabinets. A complete new floor plan and mixture of cabinet finishes. Easy to assemble and sturdy. Once all is in place and screwed together I would put them up against a cabinet shop any day of the week. High end...no. But for a sub $1M home in SoCal very fitting...if done right. Soft close hinge attachments and if something gets damaged I order a replacement online that day. I will post pictures this weekend of our project. I am very satisfied.

I just like Thermador.
