Interesting (70?) SWTarga for sale
Could you still get a soft window for your Targa in 1970? If so, this is probably a fairly rare model. No affiliation - wish it had a 5 speed!

I saw another thread on this- think it has been bought. I asked the new owner the same question about the soft rear window--never heard of it on a '70
Looks like a fun car to restore though.

20k for a non-running car IS high, I see drivers go for that or a bit less but seldom more. I've been watching them as I hope one will be my next Porsche.

Yes in 70 you could order it either way. Still gotta be rare. That's a lot of jack for a T.

It is a pretty rare T; the only thing holding it back is the sportomatic......if it is a numbers matching car it should sell and I feel a good long term investment.

Of course it depends on condition, but 20K for a SWT - and a 70 to boot - seems pretty reasonable to me.

I believe the soft window was in the option list through '73.
I've seen a few 70 & 71. Don't think I've seen a 72. 68 the hard window was the option. Soft became option in '69 with the hard as stock. |
