Japan Earthquake
We have a newlywed niece and her husband honeymooning in China with itinerary to Japan. I don't think they're in Japan yet, but it brings this disaster close to home for us. On top of that, here in Vancouver we are continuously awaiting our turn for some such disaster...

You're a bit late posting this.
Massive 8.9 mag quake in N Japan... I lived in Japan a bit north of where the quake hit when I was younger. I've also watched a bunch of the video of the tsunami sweeping inland sweeping over roads that people were driving on, people stranded on the top floors and roofs of buildings and houses, buildings and cars being swept away. It's very sad. I suspect she will need to change her plans.
