YouTube video of the day

Almost 30 MILLION views. That's a lot, FYI.

Oh yeah, you're welcome.

You've got to me kidding me

Burnin' oil 03-14-2011 11:31 AM

34 seconds was my limit. But, it was a great 34 seconds, right?!?

craigster59 03-14-2011 11:36 AM

Boy, it must get REAL boring on that bus...

Gogar 03-14-2011 11:39 AM

Oh yeah, check it.

54,000,000 views. 54 MILLION views. You're welcome.

Now THAT is hilarious. I didn't watch it but, man, 54 million views? It MUST be hilarious. ROFLMAO! Keep 'em coming.

porsche4life 03-14-2011 11:43 AM

Shun! Shun the nonbeliever!

Charlie the Unicorn is horrible! I made it to a minute, but it was a horror filled minute like being on rotten.com. You don't want to see any more, but you can't click away.

The Annoying Orange was pretty funny.

Gogar 03-14-2011 11:46 AM

The 'View Count' thing fascinates me. It's the little grade-schoolers that will watch "annoying orange" 15 times in a row that will push the view count up.

Of course, nowadays you can pay a company in India to raise your 'view count', $.01 a view.

This is my very favorite youtube video, with only 21 million views. Might not make sense if you've never watched a rap video. NSFW NSFW

Does this demonstrate the downfall of our society?

Not even. It shows that a guy with some animation chops and some creativity can figure out what little kids and stoners will watch over and over and over and spend a week or two making a video and make $.002 a play when he puts it on youtube.

Rikao4 03-14-2011 11:56 AM

confirms it ..

The fact that the videos were made is downfall neutral. The fact they each have millions of views is downfall evidence.

Isn't that the generic formula for marketing success with a few variables?

I meant the multi-million page views. I guess we all just contributed. I watched over a minute of it, hoping there was something redeeming.

I have teenage sons. Their peer group demonstrates how we are appealing to a much lower common denominator.

rattlsnak 03-14-2011 04:42 PM

Banana king? really??? I cant believe Charlie fell for that..

bivenator 03-14-2011 07:11 PM

My 7 y/o and her cousin forced me to watch it. I want my 6 minutes back. I don't think we are the demographic.

speedracing944 03-14-2011 07:32 PM

Charlie 3 is the best as it has quite the catchy song near the end.

Starfish love me! Love me!

i used to have two (adult, grown) coworkers....professional pilots who'd spend at least 10-15 minutes a DAY doing the whole Charlie the Unicorn routine for each other...all the time laughing hysterically at each other. i'm usually down with idiotic stuff, but this just pegged the ghey-meter.
