Super bummed - I need retail therapy

Just struck out at another job opportunity and it's really starting to take its toll. I seriously need a pick me up.

I tried to buy a cheap used Ultra Wide Angle lens for my camera, but I was a bit late.

Now, I'm hunting for bargain flights to get me away...I hope American Airlines runs the $69 to Curacao deal they had last week, because I need something to go my way at least...

Maybe if U realize that your depression is due to external circumstances and doesn't have much to do with you internally it will help. There are times in the past coupla years where I got really scared...but it helps to contain the fear by knowing that it is an outside source that is causing you to feel that way..and tell me how you are supposed to feel when everything seems to go wrong? .Hope this helps.

I know it's due to external circumstances, but I still need to let out some steam and blow some cash, so I'm going to buy myself a little dose of happiness.

FWIW, I have no debts (car/university are all paid for) so I'm not being fiscally irresponsible...I'm just taking a page from the majority of women's playbook with retail therapy.

At this point, I'm just going to say F- it and fly somewhere (and get some FF miles while I'm at it).

I did that every year during the last 2 years of college. They were almost all road trips. After that, I would disappear for a month or two somewhere in the world. It took a few years to get it out of my system. I was just starting my construction business then. It took a few years to really get it off the ground, so I had a lot of time. I wish I can do that now, but too many things going on. Kids, business, life and what not. I say go blow some money if you can. YOu will make it back to fill the empty hole in the bank account. Just don't blow it all like some people which don't know know how to stop. Have a great time.

Retail therapy can be very uplifting. I use it every time a girlfriend dumps me. I have a Mercedes, BMW motorcycle, BMW Z3, Porsche 911, a Cartier watch, and a 1925 Caterpillar 60 due to post-rejection retail therapy. I'm going to have to either stop being such a prick or start building more storage space.

Must be nice! Sadly, I'm not working with that big of a budget...I do need to keep my spending in check due to the not working situation.
