Twelve Hours of Sebring 2011
 

The Twelve Hours of Sebring is upon us. It should be an interesting race with 53 cars scheduled to start. If the weather wasn't going to be so nice around here over the weekend, I am sure that I'd be in front of the TV for all twelve hours on Saturday.

Yes. It is on TV. It is a streaming broadcast from ESPN3.com. Their broadcasts are extremely high quality. Although, I'll be streaming to my TV via an AppleTV2 so I'm limited to 720p. :(

I quess "on TV" is somewhat a relative term these days. On TV yes, but not on a TV channel.;)

Of course I have to root for Flying Lizard, but I also have to at least recognize one of the Ferrari teams, since I know one of the techs and have seen "secret photos" of their new beastly car.

For those of you with access to espn3.com , the broadcast of live qualifying starts at 2:55 PM EDT today.

I watched that live this afternoon. I was really impressed with the picture quality and the coverage. The coverage was for 90 minutes with no commercials. Much better than ALMS on Speed last year.

Watching now, pretty good coverage.

I'd rather have it on TV, but I'm not gonna complain... having it on the PC is better than nothing.

Gonna miss some this afternoon, though... headed out to a St. Patty's Day street festival to check out a coupla bands.

Big disappointment that the Lamborghini only came out for a few laps. Beautiful car.
