Jensen Button does a lap at Mt Panorama, Bathurst...AWESOME!
 

With thanks and credit for posting to one of the guys on the Aus/NZ PP board...Tuners Group...this is AWESOME STUFF... blindingly fast around our most famous of circuits "the Mountain", Mt Panorama, Bathurst...

Then Jensen Button swaps cars with Craig Lowndes...local knowledge of this circuit proves very valuable as Lowndes is only 1 second slower than Button (and Lowndes is a pretty damned good steerer)...

That is such a cool track, Love watching the V8s racing there. A real bullring with those walls, and little runoff areas. Surprising that Mclaren is willing to risk their car at this point of the season.
Fantastic lap by Craig Lowndes, wonder if Button did as well in the V8 Car.

Thought the same about McLaren...sooooo easy to write a car off up there.

Not taking anything away from Button, but I would doubt he could be as quick as CL in the V8...big, heavy car on a circuit that is not easy to learn...local knowledge and lots of track time counts so much there.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if we see Button compete in a Bathurst 1000 in years to come though :)

Doubt that's a 2011 car...

It isn't... watched it again (who could blame me)...it's his championship car so 2009...
