Some new gun porn.
Robar was running a 25% off sale in January, which almost brings their prices back to reasonable. So I dropped off my P226 for refinishing in NP3 and my P239 for some warranty work. Its slide had turned dark from rubbing up against my sweaty back every day for years. Got them both back last Friday and they are true works of art.

And here's a P220 Carry I had them do in reverse accents a while back. I just threw on some slim grips the other day and this gun now feels about as big as my P239. Might turn into a carry gun. It's dead-on accurate too.

Sexy.... I need a summer weather carry spoon.... About the time I get my permit next year, it will start getting hot.... The XD is a bit large to carry in the warm weather.

I couldn't believe it, but when I compared the dimensions on the SIG and Glock websites, my Glock 23 is actually a tad smaller than my P239 and holds five more rounds. But still, my P239 is the most accurate gun I've ever shot. So it's my main carry gun.

I can't decide between a small wheel gun or a small autoloader though.....
Considering a wheel gun though, would be better to keep in my nightstand.... |

Beautiful spoons there!! I want to get my Sig P226 and P239 done by robar, as well. The price of their treatment has always put me off, but my brother had his P239 done by them and it looks great! I like the Makarov, too.
I worked on a FEG PA 63 last weekend for my sister's father-in-law and that thing looked like it was built by a high school machine shop class project. What a piece of junk that thing is. He thought it was better than a Walther PP because "it's the same gun, only cheaper", then I showed him the differences in the two guns...

I bought the S&W Bodyguard 380. I like it better than the Ruger LCP and it comes with a built in laser sight. The S&W has better open sights than the LCP. My only complaint with it is that the trigger pull needs work.

Most S&W's need a trigger job from the factory, but they smooth out real nice once some polishing is done. |

I have a S&W J frame revolver. Its certainly reliable, but its also heavy, thick, and only holds 5 rounds. I have been looking at small autoloaders as a replacement.

With Buffalo Bore +P ammo a Ruger LCP or other little pocket auto in .380 hits harder than a J-frame too, even with most +P .38spl loads.

nice rickster real nice. wait til ya see my last weekend bonus score.
a pristine NRA 100% smith und vesson model 29-2 mfg'd in 1980. in nickel. .44 mag 4" barrel. it will HURT yer eyes its so purrtty! if 25 rds have been shot thru it i will be amazed. already hogue combat wombat grips on it. trading doktor nelson ford(the gunsmith.com) the pristine cocobolo grips towards his one and only SUPERSMITH JOB on it later this week. then its off to larry kellys magna porting for dual trapezodial magnaports on each side of barrel. same as my 629-4 6" barrel has. has a perfect single action pull and kind of a heavy double action pull. so nelson will lighten it up. this is the "all the time" carry for bear country. fits perfect in my bianchi m-12 military revolver holster which also carries my "K" frame stainless model 66 4" .357. 1st nickel spoon i have owned and my eyes just cant look at it enough.

I have one of those too from about the same time. Mine is blued and 6.5" barrel. Pure work of art. Light it off with 180gr rounds at an indoor range and everyone stops and comes over to look.
