What do you know about UMass Lowell?

I'm looking into their MBA program as well as Northeastern's. TIA.

I know that I live about 15 minutes from it. Unfortunately I don't know much about their programs.

One of my best friends went to college there. It is in a HORRIBLE location. Drug dealers and robberies, etc.

His education was good, but he had every car stolen and his apartment was broken into many times.

I'm trying to avoid residency programs at this point. There seems to be plenty of accredited online programs, UMAss's is one. There's the program at the Lowell school and another at Amherst.

If you had to visit a location choose Amherst over Lowell.

Can't say much about Lowell, or Amherst for their MBA, but I got my BS from UMass, Amherst in 1979 a good education, and well respected on the West Coast, they think its an Ivy League school.

If you want to learn something specific to the MBA curriculum, UMass would be a good choice. If you want to just get an MBA to use on your resume, you may want to reconsider the ROI.

+1
but if you ever visit I'll buy you a beer... I'm about 10 minutes walk from the campus. Lowell is not as bad a place as some would have you believe, but it is the 4th largest city in MA and has urban crime issues which vary a lot by neighborhood. Amherst is in the middle of nowhere and by reputation is the better school all around, though I can't comment on the MBA program in particular.
