These two brothers leave thier elderly mom for dead, and when asked why they didn't help her after she had fallen. You guessed it "She didn't ask us for help"

Probably goes a bit beyond the boys though. A couple hundred thousand in the bank. perhaps the late husband took care of the finances and the wife knew little or nothing about it.
