The 2002 is the only BMW, other than the two wheeled variety, I ever lusted for. Nice ride Mike, congrats !

Laguna Seca Blue?

DonDavis 04-30-2014 05:11 PM

Such a great color. Really looking forward to seeing more as it progresses.

Looks great, Mike! Is that a 2002 color (Pastel Blue?) or something else?

Tishabet 04-30-2014 07:41 PM

Love the color!

Tobra 04-30-2014 07:54 PM

Thanks Todd, let's see if I can hold on to this one for a while...would love to take it to Streets of Willow & Laguna Seca.

Hi Steve, it's actually a Porsche color, from the Glasurit 55 paint line from the late 50s-early 60s;
Oslo Blue.

Thanks for the kind words, folks! I'll try to post pics when I begin reassembly.

So... are you going to keep or sell? ;)

Very nice job!

Not to hijack, but pulling the engine on my recently acquired o2 right now(taking a break). I'd have to say it's the next best thing to a 911. This car is a blast to drive, even in mines sorry state. It's so true, more fun to drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slow.

Definately going to keep this one. :)

I've managed to learn to build/rebuild everything on this 2002 with the exception of the transmission (which will be upgraded to the 5 speed soon). This will reduce the cost of maintenance for sure. The 930 was a different story...

Thanks again for the kind words folks!! I'm really enjoying the process on this one. ;)

Weird video...wish they would have focused more on the car and less on the guy and the music, but I always wanted an "M2"
