Skynet started today

This is the day that Skynet went online in the Terminator movie.
is truth stranger than fiction?
according to the thread about the popo being able to read your cell phone contents, maybe the truth is stranger.

what do you think????

How far does the rabbit hole go?
I think the government has been secretly irradiating your brains and balls with cell phones for years.

I didn't realize it but today, well tonight, we will put our new Cray XE6's online in the domestic data-centers in preparation for Easter peak. Linking them to our XE's in East Europe and Asia in one large farm. I should have used this in an email joke today during the planning meeting.

Hopefully they don't turn on us...

Everything ive read says it went online Aug 4th..?

In the Terminator storyline, Skynet was originally installed by the military to control the national arsenal on August 4, 1997. On August 29 it gained self-awareness[1], and the panicking operators, realizing the extent of its abilities, tried to pull the plug. Skynet perceived the attempt to deactivate it as an attack and came to the conclusion that all of humanity would attempt to destroy it. To defend itself, it determined that humanity should be exterminated.

Feel something sinister on the Web this afternoon? Fret not –– that's just Skynet, becoming sentient, taking over your computer, and preparing to conquer the world. Confused? According to the mythos of the Terminator series, yesterday, April 19 –– circa 8 p.m. –– was the date when our new cyber overlords first signed online. Which means today, April 20, is when Skynet gets working on that whole subjugating/exterminating the human race thing.

Read today in the LA Times that Apple may be able to track your iPhone by cell tower triangulation and it down loads to your puter when you sync it. Where it goes from there, who knows.

rattlsnak 04-20-2011 07:09 PM

Yeah, if you read that, it says that the April 19/20 dates were from the TV show, but the Aug 4th date is the official date from the movie series. LOL...

My dad retired from the Navy years ago, but when he was in, he was a spook. He worked in the elephant/dinosaur cage in Misawa, Japan. We were stationed there twice. If you go to the Wikipedia site for ECHELON, Misawa is listed as one of the satellite intercept stations.

I wouldn't mind so much if they were able to make it a reliable communication device too.

Hey now, I'm ok with that.
It makes me feel a little like a movie star. It shows they care about me.
If Mr. Jobs asks nice, I might even flash him some panty.
