Lost my friend today...

Today I got word that my good friend, fishing buddy, and old roomate, committed suicide. 25 years old.

Rest in peace my friend, rest in peace.

I'm sorry for your loss. 25 is so young. May he rest in peace.

Sorry to hear that. Make sure to talk to someone about it who knows. It's a really weird thing to get straight in your head.

I will for sure. That is very good advise.

+1 BTDT with a brother-in-law. It made no sense to us that thought we knew him.

RIP friend of a fellow Pelican.

I'm very sorry to hear that man. I lost a friend like that when I was about 23-24. No outward signs. Each of us is a mystery.

Godspeed.

We never know the burdens carried by another. Yes, 25 is too young. May he rest in peace. More importantly, may those he leaves get past this..

My condolences

So sorry about your loss, I lost my best friend in a similar scenario 3 years ago and the healing process could be confusing at best, one of those unexplainable feelings ! he was like family so we try to think that he is traveling and such................and we do miss him a lot !

Sorry for your loss friend, looks like several of us here have been through the same thing. You'll wonder for a long time if there was something you could have done to prevent it-probably not.

Sorry to hear.

Take care of yourself and remember the "better times", RIP...

Sorry to hear that mate. Unfortunately once you have killed yourself there are no more options. I just can't fathom the anguish one must endure to actually go through with it.
Now that anguish has been bestowed on the ones he left. Sad times indeed.
Again, my condolences.

Best sailing bud disappeared one weekend. Found his boat, 150-ish miles out, perfectly trimmed, headed west. He was below, looked asleep in his bunk, long goodbye letter, the overdose having done it's job.

Coast Guard brought him back, sunk his boat. I took a long time on that one. No outward signs, no hints, even in his letter, written in his own hand.

Sometimes there are no ready answers.
