Ultrasound tooth brush advice.

Does anybody use one? ---------------------- Do they work or are they marketing BS?

I did find some info on line but it seems only one company has a web site.

Oral-B Pulsonic Sonic Toothbrush

http://store.philips.com/store/rpeusb2c/ContentTheme/pbPage.Sonicare-Toothbrushes

I've been tempted to buy one too, but my regular electrical toothbrush is still working and I have a new one in the box.... it seems to last forever... I wish it would break so I can go sonic too...

Sonicare in the US is the way to go. Does a wonderful job, recommended by dentists (who don't sell them).

Yes, I have one and can't imagine life without it now. My dentist gave it to me. Before that I had been using the Oral B electrics for about 1 yrs. Sonicare is light years better. The brush heads ain't cheap, but I'd pay anything to feel that clean every day.

Sonic - spendy but so worth it. Lady who cleans my teeth 2x year says my teeth are much cleaner. Buy at Costco. The only time I don't use it is on travel. After leaving my first unit in a hotel in Japan I'll never take one on the road again.

Yup, I've been using them for 10 years now.

Since Philips bought the company, they introduced a new, swanky design with the "ultraviolet chamber" for the brush heads - which is about about 2/3rds as powerful as the original design (as demonstrated by running both in a glass of water side-by-side, which my Periodonist delights in doing to the Rep every time he comes by).

It's not how much the head moves, it's the ultrasonic wave generated by the head that cleans where the bristles don't reach.

Buy the "Classic". Don't drop it in the sink, I've killed two that way.
