A "funny" exchange at lunch...

It's a nasty, miserable rainy day, so I ventured over to a local Mexican restaurant for lunch (almost everyone there is native it seems.)

Cute waitress: What will you be having?
Me: I think I'll go with ACP today. (Arroz con pollo)
Her: Would you like beef or chicken?
Me: (with a slight pause) chicken
Her: Rice or beans?

Then the "light bulb goes" off and we both giggled like school girls and didn't stop everytime she returned.

I tipped her well...made my day

"Why do I even (fill in the blank)" is a phrase I use ten times a day

You beat me to it...I swear I'm 15. Anytime anyone tells me a story the first thing I wonder is "Was she hot?" even if the story is about anything but a female - I figuer somehow a female has to have entered the story line....somehow. And if so...was she hot?

and I'm sure she appreciated a customer with a sense of humor.

I was in my local deli getting lunch stuff a couple of weeks ago. I ordered a half pound of turkey etc. The kid said" sorry sir but I went a little over a half a pound"
I said" don't worry I'm going to eat all of it anyway". The kid thought that was the funniest thing he'd heard all week. I didn't but what the heck, making somebody laugh is good karma.

Well, ya pays your money and you takes your chances...you did pay didn't you? IMO, this place is well worth the price of admission . Yep, "cute waitress" = muy bonita. For others' edification, I'd ordered "Arroz con pollo" for years, (pronounced correctly, and even with my southern drawl I've had wait staff ask if I spoke spanish), and invariably they always repeat ACP, so somewhere along the line I began ordering it that way (and I've never been served a plate of .45s).

ps: I did order an omelette one time with: eggs, cheese, bacon, and mushrooms...felt a bit redundant in hindsight (sorta like Art).

I know, the exact thing to come into my head was 'how hot was she?'

But it seems to get worse as you get older, the opposite of what I thought would happen

The price is low, but the cost is high, my friend.

It was a good story, I'm just havin' fun, or something like it.

Every single time I ordered arroz con pollo with chicken I couldn't tell the difference, so now I always get beef.

So, basically, this thread boils down to: You need to go back and get pics of the 'cute' waitress so that we may determine her hotness.

Good idea! I know for a fact that she'll remember me. I think I'll order "Frijoles con carne" but I doubt I'd be able to snap a pic amongst the laughter...

I have a really bad habit at restaurants. I'll order a steak and the waitress always asks the same thing, "how would you like that cooked?"
I always reply, "sure, that'd be great".
The wife doesn't think it's funny.
