huh, report says he wanted to pawn it, but I could have sworn I saw their inventory sticker on the case.

Possible he had pawned it there before and still had the sticker on the case. About 1/3 of the items I take for pawn have been in before.
Had a somewhat similar experience take place a few years ago.

Yeah, I'd buy that. It could have been another pawn shops sticker as well, they look pretty similar around here.
