Just Had The Worst Flu Ever!
Thank God it seems to have passed. Saturday night I was feeling crappy - bad headache, body aches - the kind that feel like if you don't stop moving you'll go nuts and then the fever. I have no clue how high it got but my Wife and kids kept checking on me and would say "geeze your still really hot - like you one fire!"
I drenched my sheets a few times with sweat, drank about 2 gallons of water, 2 liters of ginger ale and popped Aleve like they were candy. No other pills would stop the headache. This went on for about 48 hours. Of that 48 hours I must have slept 43 of them. No stomach issues and no lung issues just nerve stuff. If this went on for another day I was gonna check myself in and pray it wasn't Meningitis! I knew it wasn't cuz I wasnt gut sick or confused but ya never know! |
sorry to hear that -- could have been food poisoning...

Sounds like Malaria. Seriously. I had attacks like that when I lived in India.

if you don't get dehydrated and jack up your electrolytes you bounce back quicker
try drinking Gatorade instead of water, or chicken broth maybe Brawndo Man I hate being sick more than about anything, thank goodness it so rarely happens to me. |
I was couch bound for 4 days last week.
Fever, some cold like symptoms. Worst was the fricken headache. No upset stomach problems. First bad one in some time. With a 3 year old in daycare (the virus sharing centre) I feel like we are always battling one bug or another. |
Mike,
I'm glad you're on the mend! I just went through about three weeks of gout and I'm just getting my life back again. The flu can be pretty bad! |
