Move everyone out. Cairo needs a good flush....

RWebb 04-29-2011 03:03 PM

they've evacuated 100 houses in the new Madrid floodway (farming area in the link above)

an evac. of Cairo would require moving 3,000 people and a lot more damage to structures

of course Cairo is slowly becoming disinhabited - pop'n peak was 15,000

If it keeps on rainin', levee's goin' to break,
If it keeps on rainin', levee's goin' to break,
When The Levee Breaks I'll have no place to stay.

Mean old levee taught me to weep and moan,
Mean old levee taught me to weep and moan,
Got what it takes to make a mountain man leave his home,
Oh, well, oh, well, oh, well.

Might as well put the "other" one up, for comparison. :)

The song that makes with with i could play harmonica. Such a haunting sound through a driven amp.

Wow am I an idiot. Being used to WNYs northern running Niagara and Genesee rivers I was confused at the direction of the river for a couple of minutes

I always thought it was just the echo that was backwards but I could be wrong.
