fellow FAL fiends - 22 conv kit!
Seems like new production 22 conversion kits for the metric FAL is becoming available. Inch will follow (slight differences in barrels between the 2). Cost $430-500 depending on how many folks commit and follow through. No financial interest, affiliation, etc. just spreading the word

I remember the original kits. They were used by us in the Army for a certain type of specialized training.
 You should see the slim barrel that slides inside the rifle's barrel. When I first saw one I thought someone was playing a joke on me. (I didn't see one in the thread)

Yeah, really skinny. .3 on the outside, .22 on the inside, leaves a liner of .004 on each side....
But, they work well. Thinking really hard about getting one... even at the $500 expensive price, that is still less than a case of 308 ammo ...

For $430-500 Umarex should be able to make a full-size dedicated FAL in .22. The AR-15 .22's are just Airsoft rifles with a stronger barrel anyway.
