Thanks for the info...may take you up on that. Always like to meet Pelicans...and to save money. Will definitely need some bedroom furniture as we are giving our old stuff away before we move. In fact...I am towing a uhaul to my daughter's house now with the old junk. She can use it in her guest bedroom for when we visit.

Lived in Vegas for 3 year now, have never noticed any furniture conventions. I notice the gun ones because they post billboards outside my exit coming home from work. Occasionally a convention for a video game or car show will perk my interest, but I never attended. Outside of that, I'm sure there is something going on all the time for something, but that's probably part of the problem. Because it's a weekly thing, you get complacent to it all.

There probably is an average of 25 to 50 conventions going on every week here...from 25 to thousands of people attending.

tabs is right, some never even fill out a big meeting room at a hotel. Most never have to book the convention center. Most are unnoticed. You probably wouldn't know when the porn and sex toys convention is in town. ;) :D

Sort of off topic (I can derail my on thread can't I :)), but I had DVR'd, and watched a Larry King (not really a fan) special on Alzheimers this morning as my best friend is beginning the "long journey" with his mom. As Larry was interviewing the doc in LV where lots of research is going on, what did I spot in the background? The World Market Center of all things. Thanks again everyone...now where in the heck can one find a delicious vegan recipe?
