122 vs 86...Mavs vs Lakers....

Gotta love it......

Asshat LA (basketball) dorks versus ANYONE....only thing better if SF or NY did them and then dated their bling bling wives........

Looked like the Lakers thought they were in the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Bunch a sore loser goons.

AFC-911 05-08-2011 07:28 PM

Watched the first 3 quarters with Dallas making it rain 3s. That was fun to watch.

Then I come home to find out that the Lakers ended the game as such sore losers. The league should bring down the hammer on Bynum.

you'd think making $10-15 million a year, the monkeys could put a round ball through a round hoop on simple free-throws or lay-ins.

Cheap shots, sore losers, no role models for kids, that's why I don't watch any major sports anymore.

I like that Mr Jackson retires as they are swept from the playoffs/

Half fo them would be doing time if they could not ball.

I am an unapologetic lifelong Laker fan, and I have to give the Mavs credit. They kicked the Lakers' Asses. The Lakers just fell apart toward the end of the season, losing five of the last seven regular season games, barely making it past New Orleans, and then being soundly beaten down by the Mavs. The Lakers deserved to lose this year.

Hate all you want though. It's always fun to hate the perennial winners in any sport - which is what the Lakers are.

slodave 05-08-2011 08:36 PM

Whooo hoooo! No rioting this year!

H.G.P. 05-08-2011 09:10 PM

From here, seemed overtly suspicious. Game already lost .....try to provoke best player into suspension in the next round perhaps ? Payoffs?

KFC911 05-08-2011 09:33 PM

Couldn't happen to a "nicer" team...couple of low class thugs towards the end.

craigster59 05-09-2011 08:54 AM

Go Clippers!!

Joe Bob 05-09-2011 08:57 AM

I like the Clip's business model.....hire 10th round draft picks and more than faded vets that wouldn't make a CBA team.....play high end NBA teams, get yer ass kicked and make moeny.....

Love the Mavs! LOVE THEM!

I'm a die hard LA Fan.....but the Lakers for the last 10+ years.....Fuch em.

I would rather root for the French National Team than the Lakers.....overpaid thugs, rapists and all around general asshats.....

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The public relations level of Dallas Mavericks forward Josh Howard probably can't fall any further.

This is after his latest episode, caught on YouTube, where he defends his right not to celebrate the National Anthem with this comment: " 'The Star-Spangled Banner' is going on. I don't celebrate this [expletive]. I'm black."

According to this article in The Dallas Morning News, the episode took place in July when Howard and several other celebrities were about to participate at Allen Iverson's charity flag football game. And since Howard's comments were posted on YouTube on Tuesday, blogs, sports radio and TV shows have been inundated with comments.

For many, it wasn't what Howard said, because there have been Americans who refused to observe the anthem. It was more about his delivery and tact.

And there were others who were insulted and disappointed by Howard's dismissive words, as reported in this article on ESPN.com. The article also includes the YouTube clip.

Mavericks owner Mark Cuban told The Fort Worth Star-Telegram that he still supports his player despite the comments. Cuban said the organization will educate its players about behavior in a world filled with cell phone cameras.

Howard's plunge into the "what was he thinking?" category is nothing new. In April, before Game 3 of his team's playoff series against New Orleans , Howard told the media that he used marijuana during the NBA offseason.
He threw his colleagues under the bus when he also said marijuana use is not uncommon among NBA players. Also during those same playoffs, even after a request from then coach Avery Johnson to not go out and party, Howard still held an after-hours birthday bash.

Also in July, Howard was drag racing. He was charged with speeding (94 mph in a 55 mph zone), careless and reckless driving, and speed competition.

It appears that he needs to slow down.
Yes, I know the traded the POS to the wizards, but they were right behind him back then ........

Don't care bout bynum. He's a punk kid and will soon be gone, replaced by dwight Howard. Hopefully they'll be able to trade up with kobe too.

They always had great players, but only one of them was "worthy" (pun intended) of me liking...high school buddy had to guard him once in eleventh grade "way back when". Went to a basketball camp when Kupchak was a curly haired teenager and conselor too. The Lakers' used to have class...I felt sorry for Mitch yesterday :(

Joe Bob 05-09-2011 12:37 PM

Sammy...those guys in the rafters had class.

The current class of jerks don't......I don't mind the Celts, at least they are not NY.

Turbo_pro 05-09-2011 05:12 PM

I was a lifetime Laker fan until Jerry decided to build a team around a rapist.

The Lakers are out so the playoffs are back on.
