Here, everyone, is what Mr. Webb 'wanted' to post, but is too lazy to do. Enjoy!

Jaguar C-X75 Will Enter Production Stage In 2013

the lucky $1.14 to $1.5 million spender will get:

4 electric motors (think torque vectoring)

778 bhp and .... 1,180 lb-ft of torque

wt = 1,350 kg - thanks to lots of CF

0 to 60 mph was 3.4 sec but they are saying sub 3 for the production version

top speed = 200 mph

max range on full electric (w/o the speed runs) = 68 miles

production models do NOT get the range-extending gasoline turbine generator (or were there 2 of them?) - good for ~ 500 mile range

instead, you'll have to make do with a 4 cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine, apparently with LOTS of boost - no info on range

so if your Prius is just not doing it for you anymore...

RWebb 05-08-2011 09:13 PM

sorry Mr. gar - I was too busy posting actual information. Thanks for adding some cosmetics.

Gogar 05-08-2011 09:17 PM

Sorry, I guess you're not lazy. You're just . . . . .leisurely. I had a crappucino an hour ago, and I'm still all up in there.

Nice car... :)

Geronimo '74 05-09-2011 12:31 AM

Yuk! (IMO)

Hugh R 05-09-2011 12:53 AM

A million plus and max range of 68 miles wouldn't appeal to me much.

jyl 05-09-2011 04:22 AM

That is just the full electric range, I guess - there's still the boosted ICE - frankly on a car like this, I'd want the electric to be a performance enhancer to the ICE, sort of a KERS, rather than used as primary motivator.

EarlyPorsche 05-09-2011 05:32 AM

Come on.

I want fossil fuel if I'm spending more than $14K.

Porsche-O-Phile 05-09-2011 06:17 AM

Neat that they're doing it but for that money I'd get a 918. Better looking, better performance, better range and far cheaper.

But it's a JUUUAAAGGGG... ;)

john70t 05-09-2011 08:00 AM

918, plus a vintage Jag for that money.

Zeke 05-09-2011 08:05 AM

Someone still knows how to draw a great car. 68 miles? No problem. How far do you think those 458 Italia guys go Sunday morning? ;):D

sammyg2 05-09-2011 08:42 AM

Seeing that it's a Jaguar, the performance is likely to improve as you drive due to it getting lighter as parts fall off. ;)

Joe Bob 05-09-2011 10:32 AM

Yeah....but does it have Lucas Electrical or even beter, French parts?

RWebb 05-09-2011 10:51 AM

yes, that is just the full electric range - I posted that at the top

a 918 might well be more fun -- the nice thing is that several major co.s are creating these "driveable/buyable development mules" so you can expect some interesting vehicles to pop up at affordable price points in the future -- things that will be Infiniti-killers...
