Yep, that's the reason. Wouldn't want it dying in the walls, so the poison is intended to make them thirsty on the trip down deaths highway. Our neighbor used to have some rodents die in their gold fish pond every time we put some out.

Probably rat poison some where.
We bought our house, signed all the papers, and then stopped by the house we'd seen several times to see OUR new house. Sure enough 3 dead rats in the pool! |
Used to find newts and mice fairly regularly.
|
Make sure to put a little umbrella and a mini pitcher of margaritas on the skim board.
|
One squirrel in 7 years with the pool...
|
BTW - newts are heading for your swimming pool so they can have sex in it
|
Idn't Newt gonna announce tomorrow?

When it rains the earthworms do a mass drowning in my pool.
Enough to make meat patties for a dozen earthworm burgers. I even put a garden hose around the pool deck but that didnt stop them. What are they thinking? ;) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1305120494.jpghttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1305120532.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1305120553.jpg |
