Why does the link...

YouTube - Wingsuit proximity flying in Switzerland and Norway

...have a period between the "u" and the "b" in "tube?"

Not the real YouTube? Virus installer? Just curious.

It's their URL shortner address. Same as tinyurl.com or bit.ly

It's legit.

These guys must need a dump truck to haul their balls around in!

Yes, I would LOVE to experience that! I do wonder though, how they judge their rate of descent when they come gliding in over a tree-covered rock outcropping. Some scenes show them approaching the top edge of a cliff that is covered with trees, and it looks like they are so precise in their judgment of depth that they could reach out and touch the tree-tops!

Isn't gravity something like 9.8 meters per second? Clearly that suit reduces that substantially...by what, maybe 75%? But that has to vary greatly based upon other conditions present...wind, the design of the suit, etc... And I wonder what the forward acceleration is? The beginning of that clip when he flew by that bridge looked like he was doing 100 m.p.h. +.

They seem to be in complete control. I wonder how many people have been killed doing this?

Very interesting, nonetheless!

There are other similar videos on YT showing where guys did get killed..one guy hit a bridge at 120mph and it tore his leg off....died instantly. I agree...takes major bolz....
