Denver pelicans, suggetions please

Going to be in your fine area, for a few days, at the end of July. I only have 1 day off, followed by 2 working days(28th-30th). The plan, is to spend it with a particular friend, of the female persuasion. I would like to go to an automotive museum.Since I will be wheel-less, she will most likely be driving,therefore, my bruised ego will need a lift. A museum, will give me a chance to impress her with my, VAST, automotive knowledge all while giving MR Ego a much needed boost.
She's a freelance sports writer, so I hope there's a gearhead gene in there too. I know there are a few good car museums out your way. Suggestions please.I recall wanting to check one out in Arvada, before,but can't recall the name.

Matthews Collection is in Arvada, but call them first, not just open to public.

Shelby Museum is Just outside of Boulder, but they are only open Saturdays.

From Colorado Springs

Follow I-25 North towards Denver. Take exit 209B, follow ramp right onto US-6 following it into Lakewood. Bear right onto Simms St. Turn right onto onto W 8th Ave.

Club Auto is located on the right.

From Boulder

Follow SR-93 south into Lakewood. Once in Lakewood, SR-93 turns into W. 6th Ave. Bear left onto Simms St. (CR-19). Turn right onto W. 8th Ave.

Club Auto is located on the right.

* Please note that the last intersection is Quail St.; if you reach Parfet St. you have gone too far.

Thank you, guys.The Mathews is the one i was thinking of. I will be in boulder on a Saturday as well. Maybe i can get over to the shelby, too. Anything else, for a gearhead in general?
