128 in a 45 zone

Not a Kyle fan or a real NASCAR fan but I think Kyle bush should lose his license and therefore his racing license, he's a moron.

If they punished every pro athelete who is an idiot outside the "office" by taking away their rights to do their respective sports, there would be no more sports.

pwd72s 05-26-2011 10:44 AM

Was he on an R GRuppe tour?

Sure there would be. Just a lot fewer spoiled super stars.

The old take resposnsibility for your actions concept just does not apply to them.

:D ...chasing down a Black Audi wagon?

porsche4life 05-26-2011 11:07 AM

I'm sure he will pay the fine.

As far as taking away his comp license? BS. He was just practicing. ;)

And how many of you have broken a speed limit?

PorscheGAL 05-26-2011 11:12 AM

I don't know. It was a somewhat rural road. Very little traffic, from what I understand. I, growing up in a rural area, have know lots of people who have gotten carried away with a new car on those many rural roads of the south. I would be willing to bet that a good number of guys on this site have driven that fast on a back road in their own communities.

There's a saying; anyone driving slower than me is an idiot; anyone faster is insane.

In the past, yes....since the Oregon legislature passed new speeding laws, no.

Get caught doing 100+ on any road in Oregon, it's an automatic loss of license, $2,000 fine, and most often a quick trip to jail with a confiscated vehicle...the more spendy the vehicle, the more likely it will be taken.

It's just straight up reckless and a bad example for a celeb.

Punish the redneck I say. Or make him do community PSA's for safe driving.

Pro racing drivers should be held to a higher standard IMO. When I raced you had to show your road and competion licence when you signed up - no exceptions, you lose your road licence for points, DUI or what ever, you lost your right to race.

Offcamber, I think you are looking at this the wrong way.

James Dean was on a "rural road"........they should have arrested his hairy butt.

RANDY P 05-26-2011 11:44 AM

If pro athletes break the law and therefore no more sports?

Too f'n bad then. No more sports. They don't deserve a pass anymore than the rest of us.

Does 140 mph in the middle of the Okeefenokee swamp count? Nuthin' but me and a buddy, my new, but broken in Supra, top off, and alligators for miles around...let's see what she'll do...no biggie since I didn't get caught. I didn't even top her out, but the idea of a gator sunning on the blacktop brought me back to saner speeds. There wouldn't even be a Nascar if it weren't for bootleggers running those speeds in the NC twisties of Yadkin Co. :)

Yea, I have broken the speed limit. But NEVER even remotly close to 2.5 times the limit. That is just nucking futz.

128 MPH on the lonely very open straight highway set up for 70 MPH traffic is one thing, but in a 45 MPH zone it is insane. It shows very poor judgement. He should be without a license for a while.

Sorry, don't look up to him then.... So what, he got caught speeding, and everyone in this thread has seen triple digits on public roads. This is really a non issue in my mind...

He pays the fine and goes on....

You do realize the speed limit on most county roads in OK is 55mph or less.... Many are 35 or 45... We are talking about perfectly straight roads... Just b/c the speed limit is low, doesn't mean the road isn't suited for it...

Why would he lose his racing license? I didn't think the two were related.

1) oh believe me, I don't look up to him.

2) My point being is money isn't going to deter him from doing that- he has enough not to care so make him do a PSA or three.

3)- as for the argument "everyone does it"- ya, until you wipe someone innocent out who was just trying to make it home. That doesn't justify anything. NO amount of money will fix that mistake once made.

RWebb 05-26-2011 12:11 PM

it is not just speeding

he was in a 45 mph zone - must be a reason why the limit was set that low

w/o knowing more, it's hard to say, but it sure sounds reckless
