Sharp pain upon cold, lower back molar

Wondering (after consultation), if extraction would be more practical? vs. possibly getting milked.

Experiences?

Always better to save the tooth

Have you tried a Potassium Nitrate toothpaste?

Thanks. Had the adjacent wisdom molar knocked out throwing a pass yrs. ago. Have arranged an appt. first up next week to see what's up. Not much pain at the moment in keeping anything too cold away from that side.

I chose extraction on my back teeth as they started to go. They were very far back and constantly giving me trouble. Not anymore.

I had my teeth pulled as well. Constant troubles, made more room for the wisdom teeth, and no wisdom tooth pain. Root canal? No thanks, I can find something MUCH better to spend that kind of money on.

Same thought process I went through. $300 to knock me out and pull or $3000 for the rootcanal, crown and such.

I have plenty of other teeth to chew with.
