87 930 stereo what model?
Hi
I want to put my 930 back to stock and I don't know what model Blaupaunkt stereo/cassette it came with, what model is in yours? Finn |
Most '87s would have come with the Blaupunkt Reno SQR 46
http://i.ebayimg.com/00/$(KGrHqEOKjM...+iYhVQ~~_3.JPG It looks nice in the dash, but it's a fairly low powered, low quality unit. Hard to find one that is fully functional these days. I have a few of them, but none of them work perfectly. |
I'm guessing either the "Monterey" or "Reno". I'm leaning more towards the "Reno" for that year. If your 930 still has the options sticker, you should be able to verify which one it came with. ;)

Blaupunkt Reno SQR 46, it does look good in the dash. Very Poor sound Quality. Don't listen to it much.
I will replace it some day. |
Thanks everyone
|
Yep, that's what I had.
Dooes it require a security code? |
No security code.
Security codes came some time after the torsion bar cars ended. |
I've got a Reno that I want to install in the 318is, since the aftermarket one in there now crapper out. I just need to find some wiring harness connectors where somebody cut the stock radio wires.

The one we owned did not originally come with a stereo but had a plate over the hole (which we had). The sound system and alarm system with those cute red leds on each door were dealer installed I was told. Our build sheet and also the factory cert that listed equipment did not show a stereo. There was a receipt from the dealer in Long Island for one of each though.
