I remember NBC and the "exploding gas tanks" on GM pickups. Any TV news has to be taken with a grain of salt.

LOL! Probably never...it is the pefect car in the eyes of the networks...

Re: enthusiasm for American cars; my son goes to an all boys high school and Mustang love is huge!

BTW - I followed a new GT 5.0 this weekend. I cannot attest to its performance, but it sounded awesome.

You mean like your generation had "Porsche love"?

The 5.0 GT turns the quarter in the 12's, handles well enough to hang with the BMW M3..
