ME and my P9S'z

as yer all well aware i have a HK fetish. and since i am german, i usually try and research german products to the OCD level which us german/teutonics are well known for.


well i found some bad news regarding a few models from HK.


hkusa's website now states " we NO LONGER service the HK4, the VP70Z, or the HK P9S, P7K


long spoons- models 270,300,630,770,940,SL6,SL7,SBL2000


and all fabarm snot(shot) spoons.



well since i just picked up another damn P9S in 9mm, this bothered me greatly, as i always think of the "what ifs??????"



so me being me, a diabolical no good fer nuthin saddle tramp, i let my fingers do the walking to :

and ordered for my P9S'z:


1) .45 extractor

2) .45 recoil spring(same as 9mm)

3) .45 buffer(same as 9mm)

4) all avail. .45 spoon springs

5) .45 mag spring

6) .45 mag follower

7) 9mm new grip

8) 9mm recoil spring

9) 9mm all avail spoon springs

10) 9mm mag spring

11) 9mm extractor

12) (3) 9mm mags complete


barrels for both 9mm and .45 are still avail. and i am thinking damn hard about them.......or was, until i decided(had) to do a top end on my p-car.

now this update by hkusa also got me to thinking where i can have it finished. and this led me to robar..........and then to AZ. RESPONSE SYSTEMS who used to run the shop at robar. he does FN's, all HK's and scads of other models from tuneups to complete teardowns and refinish jobs.


ARS also is familiar with complete teardowns of ALL THANGS HK, that HK no longer works on. which gave me a warm fuzzy as i am gearing up here after my order arrives to go on a blasting fiesta with my P9S, and get some rounds downrange and do a full function test with various different flavors and see what happens.


but none the less ARS pricing for redoing the slide was a lil cheaper than robars. and its an exact match to hk black and robars was not. meticool i think ARS calls it. robar calls it black oxide.



so there ya have it................another OJU public service HK spoon advisory for all of you lucky enough to have P9S'z!

another public service announcement re: your /my P9S'z....................



DONT EVAR EVAR EVER...................dry fire with the safety in the "ON" position. very very bad ju-ju for these. if ya have to dry fire, which everyone seems to always do the very 1st time they pick one up(be damn sure mag is out and pipe is checked for being CLEAR before ya do it). dry fire ONLY WITH SAFETY in the "ON" POSITION!


its preety damn simple. "RED=YER DEAD" and "WHITE=SAFE" all hk safetys point in the horizontal position for "RED-YER DEAD!" and safe is DOWN if colors are gone on pistol.


look up "HK owners manual" and you will find owners manual and ARMORERS MANUAL showing every aspect in 8x10 black and whites for yer viewing pleasure.
