This is what I found typed into the browser of my laptop this morning. I guess my 5 year old is taking an interest in the opposite sex already.
I keep it locked so he can't get on the net unless I log him in, and can be there to supervise.
I don't remember having any real interest in women at 5 years old. We were at an outdoor concert last night, and all of the women were making a fuss over him, maybe this had something to do with it.
How old were you when the other sex became an interest?

My 6 yr-old is getting love notes from a girl in his class.

FHE: I distinctly remember Jenny Smith as the prettiest girl in kindergarten. We sat next to each other in class and would color our coloring books identically, and would cover it up so others couldn't copy us. But I don't know if that constituted any sort of romantic/sexual interest, though.

You should be proud that your little guy can spell so well at 5 yrs old. I would have probably seen 'wundrwumnkissisfreddi' at that age.

I had a "girlfriend" in first grade... But then again, I've always been a playa. :p


Seriously though, monitor his net usage, and be proud of the little stud.

You guys are underachievers. In kindergarten it was the teacher Ms. Firth for me. Rowwrrr! Alas, it was unrequited.

Kindergarten, the girl I took naps next to and played house with. She was the only one which let me catch her when playing tag in nursery school the year before. In our version the boy had to kiss the girl if he caught her. It was supposed to be on the cheek, but she turned and smiled so I caught some lip - it was messy and wet.
