Throw me some stocks.....

Quite a while ago, I posted on PPOT about a former boss making off with a chunk of my 401k money. Well after MUCH effort, I got my money back yesterday. So I've got a little nugget to put in.

I've got some blue chips picked. What else? Not looking for hot tips, looking at a 10+ year time horizon. Its seems like food, energy and healthcare have no where to go but up.

Ford. Own one share, you're in for the "X plan" on buying a new car...

Any ford dealer...probably the Ford website? Not sure...just learned of this on the Bullitt board. They have an "A" plan for employees, the best deal...but shareholders and members of the Mustang Club of America qualify for the "X plan"...pretty good discount. On the club thing, must have been a member 6 months prior to purchase.

Now might not be a good time to buy. At least you should dollar cost average and keep some of your powder dry.

I don't see any screaming deals out there right now. Financials have been hard hit lately but have been getting their balance sheets more in order. Regional banks are becoming a trendy pick for the next big bounce. Do research to find banks that have been beaten down but have relatively less risk to defaults on mortgages and commercial real estate. There was a WSJ article on this a week or two ago and I think they suggested Wells Fargo and a couple of regional banks I had never heard of.

I'm not investing any of the cash I put into my Keogh in April until I see the debt issues played out. If Greece and the US get their budgets in order, I'll miss the first few days of a rally. If we have a default and collapse of 2008-2009 magnitude, I'll have enough cash available to buy some stuff cheap and make up any losses.

Sammy always has good insight into oil and refinery stocks.
