5000 posts and 11 years a Pelican. Wow! Thanks Wayne!

Much thanks to Wayne for creating such a great place to hang out.

I signed up for Pelican a month after my daughter was born. Now she's 11! Six 911s have crossed my path during that time.

I'm "between Porsches" now, but still feel at home here. I really appreciate the comradery and lack of BS on the Pelican boards (PARF not withstanding).

PS: Wayne, I still think you should put a "donate" button on the web site for those of us who feel guilty about using bandwidth without buying much.

Slacker!

livi 06-10-2011 09:28 PM

Definitely. 5000 posts in 11 years? Thats just lazy. :D

Joe Bob 06-10-2011 09:44 PM

Perhaps he has a life, not like some of the habitual offenders. :D

Well on your way to being a post whore.:D

azasadny 06-11-2011 07:10 AM

Lee,

I know how you feel. I've been here 9 years and almost 13k posts and "in between" Porsches right now, too. I'm glad you're here...

LeeH 06-11-2011 03:14 PM

Let's see... 5000 posts. Assuming a roughly estimated but conservative average of 5 minutes reading the OP's post, other responses, and composing my response (5 minutes X 5000) equals 25,000 minutes.

25,000 minutes/60 = 416.67 hours

416.67 hours/24 = 17.36 days of my life posting on pelican

Ok, that's just time related to my 5000 posts.

If you calculate the time spent reading where I didn't post.... I think I don't want to do that math or this might be my last day here. It sort of reminds me of when I made the mistake of going into Quicken and running a report that showed we'd spent $15,000 caring for our cat and dog during their lifetimes.

Lee,
Don't do the numbers... trust me...

Joe Bob 06-11-2011 03:40 PM

Numbers lie.....so do goats.....

livi 06-11-2011 10:23 PM

The total time used by all members on Pelican would probably suffice to run a small country..

You THINK before you post?

Some drink before they post

Others link as they post

Most stink as they post

Out of curiosity, is there a way to find the longest tenured, still-living, non-banned, active posting Pelican?

I see a few from 2000, any from the 90's? When did Pelican come online?

JA

I feel...lacking in this area.:D

Thanks for being nothing but pure awesomness, o fearless leader!
