Can't find a decent hot dog.....

I'm stuck in hicksville, can't get a decent spicey, WITH skin, hot link, HAS to pop when bitten into. Wally World, the local stores....no such thing as a local butcher anymore.

I REALLY loved the restaurant Young's Market ones my Dadz used to bring when he worked there.

Anyone know of a good mail order house for my needs? I have a deep freezer.

Kosher is cool, not required......warm and spicey, no jalapeno, red pepper is OK...

Pink's and Tommy's are a "have to be there" experience. But thanks for the thought.

Zweigles Natural casing Red & White Hots (made in Rochester, NY) are the real deal. There is also a german deli here that makes all their own sausages called Swan's. I am fairly certain Zweigles has mail-order. Swan's might also

We have a local market that sells hotdogs that they make in the shop. That's the way it used to be done...

For what it's worth, my local grocery store has the crappy hot dogs in the hot deg section, and the good hot dogs with the sausages in the meat department.

You are in the Reno area now, aren't you? I know they have Raileys up there, they carry Aidells, Caspers, and a few other brands of good sausages.

On edit: Evergood is another brand to look for.

I picked up a pack of Evergood hot links a couple days ago, and had 2 for lunch today. They sound like what you are looking for:

Sams Club and most grocery stores around here carry Smith's. They're not as good as those from a German family owned butcher shop but are pretty darn good. Give them a try if you can find them, get the ones with the skins.

Come to New Castle PA. The hot dog capital of the USA. Go to Red Hot in Ellwood City PA. Coney Island here. Both places have great "chili" sauce.
