Designing a car because they can? - Mini Coupe
Is it just me or is this a design that has no merit?
You take the timeless profile of a Mini, then slash up the back to make a coupe???? Did you really need to add that to the line up? How far are you going to bastardize the Mini and still call it a Mini? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1308252794.jpg |

That mini reminded me of the Audit TT a bit.

Looks like a Mini Cabrio, with a folding hardtop.

Looks Japanese.

The Mini Coupe looks gimmicky and pointless for sure, but I for one will be waiting to see how it goes. I ran a gen 1 Cooper for a bit and then upgraded to a Mini GP which was a fantastic little thing. Not such a fan of the gen 2 Mini which doesn't look half as neat as the earlier iteration to my eyes, so the Coupe is of some interest to me as it looks OK. ...Ish.
Only if it goes substantially better than the equivalent regular Mini, though. Edit - if that bonnet vent is fake, though, it can eff off. |
would have been more interesting if it were RWD.
there aren't enough small RWD cars these days... just the 1 series. but the new 1 series by bmw has been uglified like no other car in the history of uglyfying new model years. |
Ack.

What do you think of the late model 911 speedsters with the back seat covered up with fiberglass humps? Not to my taste but I don't cough one up over it. |

And that psychedelic sticker is just an ugly, desperate distraction. Maybe its marketing niche is teenage bimbos. pirhana, I wouldn't besmirch a Honda del Sol by saying it reminds you of one. I would go with Geo Metro cab. :) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1308363766.jpg |
